REMINGTON claims its Shine Therapy hair dryer and straightener are the only models that condition hair while they style.

“The reason for developing these appliances”, the company explained, “is that constant drying or straightening can often damage hair or leave it looking dry and unhealthy. However, by having conditioning products built in, this protects hair from these effects and makes it look healthy and shiny.”

At the touch of a button the hair dryer emits a light conditioning spray, consisting of avocado oil onto the hair.

Remington says that, because the spray is so light, it won’t leave any residue.

The straightener does not require any additional cartridges as its ceramic plates are pre-infused with a blend of vitamin E and conditioning agents, said to last the life of the appliance.

Its anticipated retail price is about £69 while the hair dryer sells for approximately £49.
