

1.The Competition is open to employees of any electrical retail outlet or wholesaler in the UK.
2.The judges are looking for the best idea/invention/gadget of a new electrical product or accessory that must either plug into mains electricity or use battery power including rechargeable type.
3. Employees of dmg world media and Home-tek International are not eligible to enter Lions' Lair'.
4.All entries are to be submitted on the entry form printed in ERT Weekly. Entries should be marked 'Private and Confidential' and sent, by special delivery, to: Simon King, Lions' Lair, dmg world media, Equitable House, Lyon Road, Harrow, Middlesex, HA1 2EW.
5.Contestants are welcome to file a patent on their idea before sending in their entry.
6.ERT Weekly and the appointed Lions (judges) will treat the idea /invention in the strictest confidence.
7.The winning entry each month will be given as a ‘category’ of product and the name of the entrant; the description of the invention will not be disclosed until after the filing of a patent (if this is deemed necessary).
8.One winning entry will be drawn each month to be entered in the final.
9.The remaining entries not selected may be re-entered in the following and subsequent months. (Therefore it is possible that an entry made in the first month could still be selected in the final month of the contest).
10.The judging panel is not only looking for the best idea/invention but the idea/invention they consider has the best marketability in the Electrical Retail Sector.
11.The overall winner of the competition will be announced at the end of August.
12. Flight and details of trip to Hong Kong to be organised by Home-Tek International.
13. The overall winner of the competition must be available to take the trip to coincide with the Autumn Hong Kong Electronics Fair in October 08.
14. No cash alternative will be made available for this prize.
15. Judges' decision is final
